Growing your score feels awesome and so does giving back to your community. So, Credit Karma’s 25 Million Point Challenge gives you the chance to do both!

What is Credit Karma’s 25 Million Point Challenge? The concept is simple: Log in two or more times each month to automatically take part in our score growth challenge.

We’re encouraging Credit Karma members to put the work in to gain 25 MILLION credit score points together in the coming year! Join us, and when the challenge ends, we’ll make a donation to three trusted UK debt support charities to celebrate our success. More to come in time.

If you’re feeling stuck in credit card debt and looking for an option to simplify and save, a balance transfer credit card can be a good fit.

Just be honest with yourself and make sure you aren’t using the card as a temporary fix for a bigger problem. Getting out of debt can be a wonderful, freeing thing — but not if you immediately sink back into bad habits.

When used responsibly, a balance transfer credit card can be a useful tool. Use this guide as a reference and start your research to decide if a balance transfer is the right route for you.

Why are we doing it?

We know the great feeling that can come with a score increase and we’re hoping that by encouraging our members to take action to raise their score together we can help more of our members realise that feeling on a more regular basis. Plus, giving to charity makes everyone feel good, so we really see this as a win, win!

All you have to do to be part of the 25 million point challenge is to log into your account twice a month to be included in the group of members participating in the challenge. Not a member yet? No problem! Join us here.

How can I grow my score?

Your score is made up of lots of different factors and the best way to increase will vary from person to person. The core rules that everyone should follow are:

  • Make all of your payments on time
  • Use less than 30% of your available credit limit
  • Don’t make more than 2 credit applications in any 6-month period.

The best thing you can do for your own personal score is to head to the Build tab of your account. We stuff tons of tips and insights into your Build tab that will show you what your best moves are.
